Active Collection

Active Collection is our interpretation of modern sports apparel—a functional line of clean yet sophisticated garments in black and white, where design meets function. Included in the collection are a unisex jacket, t-shirts for men and women, and a pair of men’s shorts. In our effort to provide you with more sustainable alternatives, each item is made from recycled polyester. The t-shirts and shorts have sweat- and moisture-wicking properties; they’re all lightweight with high breathability and are designed for any sports activity you might indulge in.

A MORE SUSTAINABLE ALTERNATIVE

Recycled Polyester

Every garment in our active collection is made from recycled polyester. For the T-shirts and shorts, we’ve also added elastane for increased comfort and movement. Instead of using virgin polyester, requiring large amounts of water, chemicals, and energy, recycled polyester originates from post-consumer plastic PET bottles. This process takes up less energy and prevents plastic bottles from ending up in landfills or polluting our oceans. The bottles are crushed, made into chips, and further melted down to their fiber level. Then they are, crimped, cut, drawn, and stretched to be made into new recycled polyester fabrics. The recycled fibers hold the same strong, resilient, durable, and moisture-wicking properties as virgin polyester.

PROPERTIES FOR HIGH ACTIVITY SPORTS

Quickdry & Anti-Static

The performance of your gear sets the standard of your game. The garments you wear closest to your body must transport moisture away effectively to keep you dry and high-performing. Therefore, our t-shirts and shorts are treated with a quick-dry finish. The function enables capillary movement of moisture away from your body to the surface of the fabric, and when it comes in contact with the ambient air, it dries quickly. Every garment in the collection is also treated with an Anti-static finish to avoid the garment from sticking to your body.

LIGHT AS A FEATHER

Lightweight

Each garment in the Berkeley Active Collection is developed to be lightweight and comfortable. The lightness enables free movement and an almost silk-like feel of the garments.

COMFORTABLE MOVEMENT

2- & 4-way Stretch

In high-performance sports apparel, ease of movement is key. Therefore, the jersey fabric of the t-shirts is made from a blend of 95% polyester / 5% elastane. The composition, in combination with the fabric construction of the fabric, provides a 2-way stretch. The shorts have a 92% polyester / 8% elastane blend and constructed to be a 4-way stretch for optimal movement.
